Sam was kept as pet for six and a half years, since he was 6 months old until his 7th year. As a baby Sam lived freely inside his owner's house. When Sam grew larger, his owner tied him to a chair and later on in a cage on a balcony. Since he was 3 years old Sam never left that cage, except for 2 escapes. His owner's neighbors were terrified of him. When the owner came home one day to find Sam in the kitchen holding a knife, he knew it was time to find Sam a better home and future. Sam was then brought to us in 1994.
